2008 - April Hardwick Training Race

Marc Considine put on a great training event for the club. The race started with a surprise section where the team captains had to run to get the first checkpoint and then return to their teams. After a short section on bike, there was a compact orienteering section allowing teams to get three points in any order. We then had a long bike section on some muddy dirt roads. Leaving the bikes behind we went into the woods for a bushwhack up to a ridgeline. We followed the ridge retrieving several points and then descended to some snowmobile trails which we took out to the canoe put-in. Just under an hour in the boats and we were at the finish.
